On top of having probably the craziest stand of the SIHH 2012, IWC held the biggest party of the event with many friends of the brand: Cate Blanchet, Jean Reno, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Boris Becker… This watch is explosive! C3H5N3O9 , or nitroglycerin as it would be known in lay terms, is an “experimental” watch brand, and its first product is called ZR012. In a zirconium case showing off the Wankel-inspired movement to advantage, it is not hard to see that this limited edition of 12 pieces is the result of a joint effort between Urwerk and MB&F. Interview with Mr François Thiébaud, President of Tissot, who explains us the reasons and objectives of the their new and impressive robotic warehouse in Le Locle. Capable of managing up to 50’000 pieces per day, this installation was a minimum to contain the brand’s development. Ceremony of the 2010 Watch of year by Montres & Passion.
