Very soon paddles will raise at the watch auctions to come from Sunday in Geneva as would hands and lighters during a legendary rock show. Patek Philippe celebrates this year its 175th anniversary
and because of that more than 100 Patek Philippe watches are going to be sold. No need to say that Patek Philippe watches are considered as the Holy Grail by watch aficionados who can spend up to millions to acquire even only one!
Among them is a legendary unique model called the "Henry Graves", a world-record pocket watch from 1933 including 24 complications, the lot 345 at Sotheby's. Christie's also succeeded in a true "tour de force" by gathering 100 very rare models in order to give an physical overview of the history of the geneva-based manufacture. We went to both auction houses to know more about these pieces, and to get images!, about what are going to be epic sessions in the history of ancient watches' sales.
